The Savoy London

Soaring high in the Strand in London’s heart, the Savoy is a legendary 5-star property that is known for its myriad of artistic features. After being recently opened in October 2010 to reflect the 220-million-Euro renovation in each of its niches and corners, this Fairmont-managed hotel flawlessly fuses the original as well as the new aspects that incorporate also the strikingly modern Art Deco and the traditional English Edwardian interiors featuring undying glamour and glow. At The Savoy London, the entrance is a typical Art Deco featuring crystal fountain focus, while the Front Hall called the Lobby still preserves its actual Edwardian glory featuring molded frieze and wood paneling flanking the walls’ top.

Unlike the other luxury hotels, no standard check-in service is offered here, which means there is no Reception Desk. So, what happens when you arrive? Simple, doormen will welcome you, who already know your name. One more unique feature of The Savoy London is that you can sit with the hotel staff in the Reading Room off the lobby for discussing about the additional needs. Don’t you think you are treated as a king/queen here?

And yes, you can enjoy in the Savoy Theatre and can soak into the beautiful views of the city as well as the River Thames. The hotel is near the Victoria Embankment Gardens, National gallery, and the Covent Garden.
