With the best bird sanctuary here at the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary, this lovely land with around 14 acres of absolute avian population, consisting of cuckoos, waterfowls and owls, would totally give you your travel’s worth.

The next day you would go to Alleppey which is again a beautiful place. Here you can take the houseboat which is no less a hotel. It has single and double rooms with a sundeck and a balcony which is entirely yours. It also has a great kitchen with the chefs giving you the best. The cabin crew is also good and the service is excellent.

Just enjoy the luscious greenery and the beautiful paddy fields and see how bright the place is and also enjoy the villages where you can see people making things out of coir. There are those fascinating water lilies and the loveliest rustic house. Then of course the shrines in Kerala oozing spirituality and the coconut trees complementing the title of Kerala being god’s own land.

Alleppey is the place which is a great trade hub of Kerala and it has been the favourite of the kings ruling here. There is a lot of coir materials made here and thus it is the coir hub of India.

There is a beach in Alleppey which would completely relax you and make you rejuvenate after the tiring two days. You also have the Kuttanad here which is famous as the rice bowl of Kerala.
