1) The Fishermen’s Bastion

The Fisherman’s Bastion is one of the happening monuments in Budapest which was named in the memory of fisherman’s guild. Built in neo-gothic style, this building was designed by Frigyes Schulek. You can also see the statue of St. Stephen besides this building.

2) The Matthias Church

The Matthias Church is one of the happening destinations in Budapest which was built during the reign of King Matthias. If you visit Matthias Church, you can see the coat of king on the south tower and thus it is always called as Matthias Church. This church was used as a venue for coronation of several kings which includes Charles Robert and Charles IV. The final renovation of this church was started from 1895 and was completed till 1903. Well decorated with frescoes, Matthias Church is a serene church where organ concerts are held regularly.

3) St. Stephen Basilica

If you are on a holiday to Budapest, don’t miss visiting St. Stephen Basilica, the most happening and largest roman catholic church which has been captivating several global tourists and explorers. Lot of Hungarian painters and sculptors have put their efforts in designing the inner side of this church. This building was envisioned, planned and constructed in 1851 by Jozsef Hild and later the construction work was taken over by Miklos Ybl who later added a neo-renaissance style to this church.
