Yoho National Park: Day’s hiking from Takakkaw Falls to Yoho Lake circuit

Yoho National Park On this summer trip to Canada, I visited the Yoho National Park that is well known for its many hiking trails. As I love adventure, I spent a day in hiking via which most of the park’s scenic and natural attractions were easily explored including the rocky glaciers and their formations that are the hidden lakes and the nations’ third highest waterfall. Believe me; the Yoho National Park is an extremely striking zone of the Canadian Rockies. Herein, a majority of the ideal natural features are accessible within some minutes walk from parking ground or via the ardent hiking trails needing overnight camping if they are long enough. Catch the trail that requires a fine half-day walk, which is actually a circular one taking you back from where you began. On this one, spot  [...]

This winter I just planned for an adventure travel that ultimately turned out to be the most extraordinary trip. On my list of yearly adventure trip, this time it was the turn of the hilly Kyrgyzstan where I could dare to undertake trekking in a few of the most isolated and spectacularly wonderful sites that are hardly seen anywhere else on the planet. Trekking holidays are not that easy to plan, but when they are actually spent; nothing else seems to be more interesting, exhilarating, and mind-blowing. Certainly, this was my final judgment when I excitingly completed my trekking holidays in Kyrgyzstan. I have only one thing to say to all of you - if you love adventure as well as independence, then this is the adventure trip for you that you should aspire about! This adventure travel to  [...]

Hiking the scenic K2 Godwin Austen

Hiking the scenic K2 Godwin Austen

This time it seemed as if I got a wild call from this best trekking region where the splendid Godwin Austen Glacier meet the Baltoro Glacier. This convergence is called Concordia, a term given by the European explorers who found many similarities as see in a glacial meet in the central Alps. Undoubtedly, this is the exciting zone as well as a hidden treasure for all the adventurers. Although there is no climbing, hikes are inevitable to several base camps during which you can enjoy the breathtaking views of the region. Hiking to the Broad peaks’ base camps will generally take you three hours, which is very fascinating because of the terrain K2 filled with rugged hiking ground. This trekking was just beyond all the limits of thrill along with a couple of Americans. It was so tempting that  [...]

Most Definitely a YES to Dover Islands

Most Definitely a YES to Dover Islands

Dover Island is better known to the locals as Nova Scotia’s playground of granite, and it’s a haven for adventure junkies. Hikers and those that love climbing rocks or even bird watching will absolutely love Dover to bits and the island is located just off of Halifax, which in itself is a town in the proper sense of the world. The panoramic views from the hill-top are plainly awe inspiring and enticing, leaving the traveler in absolute wonder of the virgin beauty of the Islands. Dover Island feels like a world wrapped in itself because it’s so removed from civilization that it makes you wonder larger questions. The seclusion from the city bustle is what stirs in pristine tranquility. The zig-zag boulders jutting out are like a green dagger aimed at the sky, and when the fog blankets it  [...]

Annapurna: the best trek in the world

Annapurna: the best trek in the world

It is without a doubt the best trek in the long distance category. Nepal is a good mix of pristine nature and rich culture. The terrain and its beautiful landscapes are constantly changing and fill my eyes with tears of joy. The thrill and excitement that cover the air cannot be justified by mere words. This stunning experience is only intensified by the dangerous throng la pass. We shot out cheers of joy as we made safely across the pass. At 5426m can be termed insignificant by many but still a danger. Annapurna region trek was our choice of a comfortable trek without the usual rigors and hardships. This time we didn’t necessarily want a sense of achievement an exciting and yet challenging walk into the wild corners of nature was more than enough. An 18 day trek was sadly not enough  [...]

Kayaking in Alaskan waters

Kayaking in Alaskan waters

We found adventure waiting for us in Alaska’s Inside Passage. The flat terrain with sheets of ice distorted the distance and would fool people with the misty fog that fills the morning air. A scene right out of the movie “free whilly” played in my mind as I could hear the characteristic blow of the orcas through the mist and I felt they were nearby. The mornings here in this winter land can be calm and yes, cold to the bone. Sunlight is blanked out by the mist and the beams make it through sometime. The silence and peace can be calming but deafening. An eagle flying solo makes itself heard through its piercing cry as it dives in for the fish. It feels divine kayaking with my loyal companion, my heart beat as it goes on a rampage when a sound breaks the quite air. Then all of a sudden  [...]
